Please contact your local IT for assistance to ensure the requirements below are met prior to the installation appointment. It will also be necessary to have IT on site during the install. For a complete installation and configuration guide see the ETS guide here.

  • Any IBS workstations utilizing the new EMV terminals will need configured with static IP addresses. The EMV terminals can utilize DHCP.
  • Ensure that ports 5110 – 5120 are unblocked in your firewall and that there are exceptions made within your anti-virus software.
  • Hook the devices up as shown below prior to the installation appointment. The Ethernet cable coming from the wall should be plugged into the side with one port. The Ethernet cable coming from the reverse side will be plugged into the computer where the terminal will be used. For more detailed instructions refer to the ETS site.

  • USB Setup

The setup for these devices is recommended for TCP/IP due to the ease of management by ETS as well as the ability to push updates down over the network. Please speak with IBS about acquiring the proper USB cable if a network installation is not possible.

Note: It is important to avoid connecting the terminal via USB to the IBS workstation without an IBS technician as doing so could cause potential conflicts with the driver installation.
